Tesero
At the center of the Val di Fiemme, at 1000 meters above the sea level, Tesero offers, at its best, all the landscapes and historical and touristic richness of the Val di Fiemme. Traditions, crafts, cultural events, and mountains are Teseroâs strengths.
In the historic center, the places of interest that stand out are: the parish church of St. Elisha, the chapel of St. Roch from the sixteenth century and the Gothic church of St. Leonard and St. Gotthard, Casa Jellici, a historic residence that now houses a museum, exhibitions and cultural events, capitals, sundials, frescoes and ovens âfrom the panâ.
Artistic craftsmanship has also shaped the identity of the country over time: furniture and the creation of musical instruments, including organs and soundboards for violins and pianos.⨠During Christmas, Tesero is set up to celebrate: from the alleys, courtyards, windows, stables, and cellars overlook one hundred artisan cribs. The event âTesero and its Christmas Cribsâ attracts thousands of visitors. In summer, the same village courtyards host the event âLe Corte de Tiezerâ, with spectacular re-enactments of ancient crafts, gastronomic traditions, and music. On Tuesdays, in July and August, the event âTesero un paese da vivereâ (Tesero, a country to live in) is also held in the long summer evenings.
Tesero is the ideal destination for the athletes. In the town of Lago, there is the cross-country skiing center, home to three editions of the Nordic Skiing World Championships. The village of Pampeago is the gateway to the ski carousel of the LĂ temar Ski Center, with its 45 km of slopes. In summer, you can choose between riding stables, bike paths, climbing wall, Nordic walking, indoor bowling alley, tennis, minigolf and, of course, walks and excursions on Latemar, where the highest art park in the world RespirArt Pampeago was built.
